Have a great day, Eve. Premier's 4-0 to the Wolves prediction would be good. I just hope that we play as well as we can and come back with anything other than our tails between our legs!

Yes it's a biggy and taking points here, and against leyton Orient, would be a bonus but whatever the results these games alone won't decide our season. If at the end of the season we haven't got the points required it'll be the the points dropped against sides outside the top 6 we should have got them against.

I don't see us dropping too many more points and I think our advantage is having a squad to cope with injuries, although we're possibly short up front, whereas I'm not sure the same can be said of Brentford and Orient. It's going to be a busy March and at the end of it I think the league picture will be clearer and I still expect us to win this league.

Yeah this game really should have a slightly different complexion in that I feel we should have, and had the opportunity to beat both Orient and Brentford at Molineux.

Agree, Plates, three points at a struggling side count just as much as three points against a top three club. Still if teams like Leyton Orient can drop 3 points against Bristol City and another 3 to Peterborough on successive weekends, we have a realistic hope of automatic promotion. Our future is definitely in our hands and the future starts today!

TundraWolf
22-02-2014, 02:06 PM
BTW, Leyton Orient face off against 8th spot Swindon, a club only 4 pts from a play-off spot. I doubt that Swindon will go quietly and might shake up an unpredictable LO eleven!>:)

IMO (if one considers the league standing of the opposition) then today's victory has to be our finest for a long, long time. Our Shots/ Shots on Target stats were an incredible 11/8. The sort of results we've been seeking all season but have never come close to achieving. From my vantage point on the other side of the world I could see that today's effort by the team was
exceptional and they (and KJ) can feel justly proud.

I'm now off to my bed, but look forward to the match reports from Gav and the others in the morning. This has indeed been a happy, blissful day for all who love the Wolves.
Nighty Night !!!

This was a great result. The last few years, when Wolves have needed a big result, we have not stepped up and done what was needed. Today, we were playing the league leaders, on a 19 game unbeaten streak, and while we were dominating the first half, we took the lead at halftime, survived a spell from Brentford that would have buried us in the past and put the match away . It is getting hard to be pessimistic about this season and club. Maybe the worm has turned for Wolves.

What a cracking away day that was!

There can be no finer way to spend your birthday than watching the mighty Wolves batter Brentford!

Them cockney bees, they got no sting! Full of cloggers, dirty bustards!! Expected a bit more from a team pushing for auto promotion.

There fans certainly bigged themselves up beforehand so it must really hurt that they were proper beaten by a better team!

My man of the match would be Sako, fantastic game i thought!

Been of the wine for a while but its a bottle of red now I'm home to finish the day off celebrating the victory and my birthday!

Cheers!!

A great win, three points and beating a side who before the game decided to big themselves up. The win for me and what was at stake was arguably our best of the season. Many would have taken a draw before the game. It was good to see Wycombewolf and Dudleywolf at Griffin Park.

The state of the pitch was the main talking point before kick off, but it was the same for both sides. A scrappy first half, a couple of confrontations and often dirty tactics from the likes of Douglas, Judge and McCormack, with Golbourne or Henry usually on the end of it. A couple of half chances before the opening goal, one for Sako and and one for Dicko. Brentford's only real effort of the first half and also the game was Judge's free-kick that Ikeme turned away.

The opening goal from Henry after the ball played to him by McDonald was in my opinion, a cross that found it's way in at the far post..they all count.

Second half and Brentford enjoyed of the ball, but as stated, never tested Ikeme, Wolves defend

Great day yesterday, went on the train, as I like to do for a game in the smoke, as I love our capital city. The 7-03 Virgin rolled out of Wolvo with 15 of us on it, 6 with tickets in the Wolves section and 3 picking up tickets in the home end, with the rest on the lash, as train tickets had been purchased before they managed to get tickets to the game.
