If the Alex get the same ratio of points to games played in the last thir**** games as they got from the first thirty three games they are likely to finish up with 47 points which is clearly less than the normal safety margin. Perhaps recent games have seen some improvements in performance even including away defeats at two struggling teams in the last few weeks.

But if you look at it from the time when things off the pitch changed (Port Vale home game), we are averaging 1.31 points a game since them which would leave us on 51 points which could make the goal difference VERY important :(
