Medo Kamara, Joe Mason, Jay Spearing and Andre Moritz all netted as Bolton thrashed Blackburn 4-0 in their Championship clash at the Reebok Stadium.

Wanderers sent local rivals Rovers to their biggest league defeat of the campaign to make it two successive home wins for the first time this season.

Kamara headed Wanderers into the lead with Mason and Spearing adding one apiece either side of the break.

Moritz then scored from long range in injury time for the Trotters' biggest victory of the campaign.

The result ended a five-game unbeaten run for Rovers, putting a severe dent in their play-off push.

Home manager Dougie Freedman opted not to start Alan Hutton, who signed on a month long loan deal from Aston Villa this week. He did make two changes, with Zat Knight and Neil Danns coming into the side for Matt Mills and Darren Pratley.

Simply awesome today.Everybody was excellent.Six goals at home in 2 home matches and 2 clean sheets.Who would have thought that playing 2 upfront and showing a bit of adventure and ambition could turn things round so emphatically and dramatically.(Well,just about everybody except Duggie really). - view external link (E)

Work with a guy who is a rovers fan,he went to the game and wouldn't,t give us any credit for how well we played. His view was rovers should be beating teams like bolton. Also apparently rovers fans damaged lots of seats. Tossers
