My Grandson(14) has managed to get a place with World Challenge and hopefully will be going to Costa Rica in 2016.
His main challenge at the moment is to raise the funds through various sponsored events identified by them and some created by himself eg this Saturday he will be going to Perth to participate in a 10k run.
I will be helping out as much as I can and I am considering putting up for auction a football signed by all the members of the 1952 side.
When I was Chairman of the Joe Wark's second testimonial I visited all the players to obtain their signatures and have a plaque to authenticate same.
The ball was put up for auction at the Sportsman's Dinner and the highest bidder presented me back with the ball as a thank you for the work I did on Joe's behalf.
Does anyone think there is a market for this amongst 'Well fans ?
