it's a female singer...I thought it might be 'Hunted' by the Passions but it's not in my library, I googled the lyrics but nothing came up...any ideas?

guess it might be from the 80's

I ought to have re-posted that I have found it, it is Hunted by the passions, it's on youtube if you care to have a listen...great track.

don't know what put it into my head, though a few days before Nick, my eldest son, had guided me to Did You See Her...Pink Military...and it's very much of that era...80's sounds, very much like Souxsie/Skeletal Family.
