Made a quick visit to Malaysia today.
Gotta respect the way they have handled the MH 17 affair.
I know they got some stick for MH 370 but I think we gotta look at the issue in the context of them being a small to medium Asian country.
They got no AAIB or had no resources or experience to handle an event like that and had to depend on other nations.
But they have handled the MH 17 affair admirably. They have every right to be very angry and slam Russia and others, but have held their counsel for the greater good.
Id is their biggest celebration and it's been a bit muted this year following the double tragedy. Even the PM lost his step-mother (or grandmother) in the crash.
On a side note, have any of you tried Malay/Indonesian food? It's quite tasty actually. A bit like Indian food but not as spicy, although they have dishes which are chilli based, if you can handle the 'heat' it's rather unique on the tongue.
