Much better performance last night showing energy and desire from the first to last whistle.
Does this mean we have turned a corner? Impossible to say on this performance alone. In truth after a very impressive start to the game the goal they scored appeared to hit our fragile confidence which was only bolstered again by the crazy sending off. We'll never know how it would have gone if they had kept eleven men on the field but it was not looking promising at that point.
After saying that the team did everything you could reasonably expect from that then on and there wasn't a really poor performance from anyone.
Williams was getting a fair amount of stick for not passing forward in the second had which was mostly unjustified. Quite often he was getting abuse when there was nobody available for a forward pass and he quite rightly kept possession rather than risking giving the ball away against a very good passing team.
