A good sequence of winning results comes to an end at home at the hands of Blackburn on Saturday.

Jordan Rhodes proved to be Blackburn's inspiration in the same way Tony Watt or Igor Vetokele usually are for Charlton; he scored a brace firstly on 15 minutes, his first goal, after a quickly taken throw-in from Ben Marshall.

Roger Johnson then found himself caught in possession by Craig Conway who then scored on 18 minutes with a low accurate shot into the far corner. In the first half Charlton's only chance of note came on 19 minutes when Igor Vetokele blazed over from 12 yards out.

Things did Improve for the Addicks in the 2nd half. Yoni Buyens scored from the penalty spot with his usual self assured aplomb after Blackburn goal keeper Jason Steele attempting to make a clearance, fouled Vetokele.

But the 2nd of Rhodes' brace, a headed goal, came on 78 minutes Rhodes after Taylor's deflected shot looped into the air.

Gary Bowyer's team had only lost one of their last nine games i
