Pleased to see that Clark Robertson has signed a two year contract. He has always shown great potential during his long spell with Aberdeen FC (SPFL) having come through their Youth System and becoming a first team regular since the age of six****. His ability has also been recognised at National level having played for Scotland U-19s and U-21s. Look forward to seeing him progress even more in his new environment.

Aberdeen fan here in peace.

Not sure you could class Robertson as a 'first team regular'. He played a few games for us - notably in the 9-0 and 5-0 defeats to Celtic and Hearts but he was hardly a first or regular pick.

He only managed 1 minute of first team football this year as he had a bad injury and then couldnt force his way into a much improved team.

To be fair to him he was always asked to play left back but he looks mre like a centre back to me and has the physical attributes to play there.

I know how little regard you Nigels hold Scottish football in and this guy was far from a star up here so best of luck to both parties :D

The previous post is typical of the underestimation of Robertson's capabilities by many AFC supporters who can only remember the mistakes made by certain players and never the valuable contributions they have made. The fact that Robertson was regularly capped for both the U-19 and U-21 Scotland squads are testimony to his true soccer ability.

Unfortunately, he has suffered three lengthy spells out of action due to serious injuries on both knees and a torn thigh muscle, but this can happen to any player who throws himself 100% into the game and does not automatically render them "injury prone" - any player worth his salt that has not suffered at least one such injury during his career.

In the 2010-2011 season, Robertson was still only 16-years old when he was "thrown into the deep end" of first team football in a squad that was regularly underperforming and losing matches against many lower class teams - he had only played three full games prior to the 9-0 defeat to Celtic.
