Jose Riga's first home game in his return to Charlton ended in a welcome 1-1 draw against Blackburn, the rot of having conceded 11 goals in two games was put to bed as many predicted this would be another defeat.

Riga is beginning to inspire the team with some confidence and although there is still so much to work to do if the team are to have any chance of escaping relegation, there were encouraging signs with the organisation of the side today as well as new signing Jorge Teixeira in defence and of course the welcome return of Tony Watt.

Harry Lennon scored for the Add1cks on 30 minutes after a Gudmundson free-kick, Lennon's shot took a deflection on the way into the bottom corner for a goal from 12 yards. Rovers levelled on 45 minutes when Jordan Rhodes, ever a bugbear for scoring goals against Charlton, did just that with a firm header which Henderson got a hand to but was unable to keep out of goal.

Still even the aggressive protesters failed to dampen the mood of some
