On Jose Riga's 2nd game in charge, Charlton come away with a command performance from the New York Stadium beating Rotherham by 4 goals to 1, their first win since November, against Birmingham.

Building on last week's draw, this was a continued improved display with more successful assists, powerful in attack and solid in defence. The only change from Blackburn was Makienok partnering Vetokele upfront; Tony Watt having departed on loan to Blackburn as of Friday. Makienok had by all accounts a productive game scoring on 4 and 69 minutes.

Burke had scored for Rotherham on 11 minutes but the Add1cks went in ahead at the break from a thumping Vetokele goal on 44 minutes marking a return to form in this game for the striker.

The final and fourth Charlton goal was scored by Ademola Lookman on 94 minutes. Here's hoping the youngster stays at the Valley when the transfer window closes, his return to the side coincides with a win, a confidence boost and a platform to build on.
