ZombieSkelper

Councillors have voted to fly the Irish flag over Motherwell Civic Centre to commemorate a bloody chapter in the fight for independence from Britain.

It follows a request from an Irish republican organisation based in Scotland to mark the 100th anniversary of the Easter Rising.

Ra bares in motherwell will have steam comin out their ears as we speak XD - view external link (http://www.motherwelltimes.co.uk/news/local-headlines/councillors-vote-to-fly-irish-flag-1-4027944)

Always amazed at the Hvn reaction to the tricolour. Basically the flag of a country that was terrorized and persecuted for 800 years.. and the merest glimpse of the Irish flag sends them totally apesh1t. That's really weird logic :?

The organisation that requested the raising of the green white and orange tricolor...........(Yahoos should note there is no gold in the Irish tricolor)..................................

Police in Cairde na hÉireann raid

THE Glasgow base of Irish political group Cairde na hÉireann was subject to a police raid as dozens of items were seized and one member
of the organisation charged under Section 13 of the Terrorism Act.

The shop on the Gallowgate (right) was raided on Friday September 11— Cairde na hÉireann is a support organisation for Sinn Féin.

After sealing off the premises for almost four hours, officers from Police Scotland left the shop with 48 bags containing items ranging from republican memorabilia, merchandise and clothing to paperwork relating to the organisation. Police notified those present that the items being taken were items on sale which supported terrorism.

I'm afraid idiots like the tartan handbag cause more problems than solve them. Their view of the world is that all English people are rich and live in mansions, talk like Prince Charles, food banks are where we store our reserves of caviar, we all vote tory, and we all live in some place called the 'South East'. Clowns like the handbag refuse to believe that there are working class English, we have many varied regional accents, poverty is worse in parts of England than in Scotland, food banks were started in England and the busiest of these food banks are found in England, the fact is in a country of 55m you will get extremes in wealth and poverty, though the handbag only concentrates on the 15m around the South East.

Has Rolf being writing press releases for the zoomer mob the Vanguard Bears?

It is with both astonishment and anger that Vanguardbears hear of a proposal from North Lanarkshire Council to fly the Southern Irish Tricolour over its council offices on the 24th of April 2016 to commemorate the failed Irish Republican Easter uprising right here on British soil.

The request from pro-Republican IRA terror group, Cairde na hÉireann, to fly a flag that history states was not borne into inception until 1921, is nothing but sinister anti-British propaganda. As recently as 11th September 2015 this group had its main office in Glasgow raided and members charged under Section 13 of the Terrorism Act.

NLC should be very careful and aware of the anger currently sweeping Scotland, after an SNP-led pact swung this vote to an 8-6 majority in favour of the flag to be flown in the UK. At a time when Britain, indeed most of Europe and their fellow countrymen were dying in the trenches haltin
