Great stuff a home win to at least temporarily silence the negative anti owner protesters and give the team a much needed boost and bringing to an end a stretch of 8 games without a win.
Charlton had the better of the play in the first half and Johnnie Jackson scored for the Add1cks on 33 minutes from a right footed volley.
As the 2nd half wore on Scun thorpe pressed further and Van Veen scored on 75 minutes after Rudd had deflected a cross away from goal.
Charlton had the last word on 90 minutes however when Tony Watt powered in a penalty after a foul on Teixeira and after that there was no turning back.
