When did Santander become a bookie? Just seen their ridiculous ad where they are offering an increased interest rate if Rory Mcllroy wins a major this year. Thanks but no thanks. If I want a bet i'll go to Ladbrokes. This from the bank that lost 100s of millions in the Madoff fiasco because he was "guaranteeing" them 10% per annum, without checking where he was "investing" the money.
It already irks me that they are paying Button, Mcllroy and Ennis (she is quite fit though) millions, without adding insult to injury.
Edit. Just checked, they actually lost £2.3 bn in the Madoff Ponzi scheme and days before the scandal broke referring to him as "impeccable"

Gazza. His 3 docs said he was going to die story. He claims he heard 3 doctors saying he was going to die before slipping into a 3 day coma.
Personally I think this story is a load of bollocks. 3 doctors would not have that sort of conversation within earshot of a patient.
Me thinks he needed a few bob and The Sun (as usual) were only to ready to lap it up.

Will horsemeat ever become acceptable in UK? Now that it would seem we have been eating horsemeat unwittingly for years will this lead to it becoming less taboo in this country. It is healthier and possibly tastier (comparing quality cuts horsemeat, imo, has a slightly richer taste).
If, for example, on a day out you had the choice between a horsemeat burger at £1.50 and a traditional burger at £3.00, identical in every other way, which would you go for.
