Taitr - I wouldn't go on other message boards, whether it's Millwall or anyone else, winding up their fans it only goads them understandably and then invites all kinds of abuse back here which is just what we used to get and particularly Ian who is a respected member of Millwall Mad. There are plenty of other sites where you can do that but not Charlton Mad. I am giving you a final warning Taitr, but if it continues and we get angry fans from other teams coming here I'll have to ban you from Charlton Mad. The choice is yours and I hope you'll abide by the rules.

Lets get back to the origonal post which is about the east and west being a touch quiet. I know that there is a main chanting stand at every ground however the rest generally join in. I sit in the NW and its a great view and good atmosphere as we get the noise coming from north and chip in with some ourselves. However when you look to the right it is a bit dead. They do clap along with CAFC but thats about it. So come on and join in and I guarantee you will enhance your own as well as every one elses experience.

Valley- Sorry it was only freindly banter then the millwall lad decided to start using abusive language towrd me so i retaliated, good if he thinks i was bad then he really should look at what all the west ham fans have said about his great club!!

Ok sorry everyone im on my last waring anyway so ill just keep it shut from now on and only say constructive stuff. I still think that fans at charlton in east and west stands should be getting behind the team more!!

Yeah fair point i think every club has this problem though. Mind u i rememebr last season when we had that good run everone were getting behind the team. I just love going to games where evryone is behind the team and u are all united as 1 creating a good atmosphere... half the reason why i go to the games is to soak up the atmosphere. I love it!!

I no what u mean last year my mate agve me a ticket to go and watch brighton play teh whammies and i just couldnt get into it like i can with charlton, it board me to be honest :[ !!

Taitr the main problem apart from the crowd being quiet was all the moaning when I was in the West Stand for the WBA Cup game, that's even when the team is playing well.

I maybe misjudging some of the North here but from my vantage point it doesnt appear to be the whole stand making all the noise. The North E and F have always been where it all originates but does the whole stand join in.

In over 30 years of supporting Charlton we have never been what I would call a loud crowd. Then sometimes, especially away, we create the most amazing atmosphere. Middlesborough 2 years ago and Blackburn last year spring to mind. I just wish we would do that more often.

I'm all up for getting the Valley more vocal.

Well....I used to sit in Block E in the East and it was vocal to be fair and joined in with the North 99 times out of 100. Problem was the blocks around us didn't join in and so I ended up moving to the North. Maybe it's time to venture back and give it another go!?!?!
