re: Eastwood Lookalike?Sheff was not only over weight and unfit, he looked like he did not really want to make the effort either. I would like to think that it was down to him returning too soon after injury and that the international break will give him sufficient time to recover fully.
With regards to Deegs, yes, he was very ineffective too. Is he more of an impact player to put on the bench to liven things up more than a starting line up player ?
Mind you, it was not just those 2 who were ineffective on Saturday. I am waiting to see the flood gates open and Cody score another goal or 3, when is that going to happen ? McPake still does not look 100% fit and it was the Southampton players going past him in the first half that led to their 2 goals. Of course, McPake was not ultimately at fault and I happen to be a very big fan of his. I do believe however, like Sheffers, he has come back too soon which is probably indicative of how desperate our availability of squad players has become.
