" The only talented player we have are either on loan or their contracts expire in the summer. Over three years, if my maths is correct, we have just about broke even. The enhanced central payment of £6m for this season has not been included (obviously) and nor has the greatly reduced wage bill. Taking this into account and to break even next season I would estimate there is between £3m and £3.5m available for capital expenditure. To redevelop the DRE on the larger scale has been estimated at just over £6m so in order to afford this we need to stay in the NCP next season to benefit from further Central Payments (if maintained at this season's base level). As such there is not much in the pot for transfers and wage payment increases above 2010-11 levels. When you take this into account we can all see why the player cull happened and there is little in the way of quality players being taken on. The alternative is to just seat the DRE - circa £480k and live with the reduced capacity, limit the away end to the core 1600 and have the GW Corner take up the slack.
