Hibs 12th Man: We want your stories
As you might know the Hibs 12th Man will at some time in future produce a comprehensive, without the offensive, song book.As if that wasn?t exciting enough the Hibs 12th Man would like to include stories from the fans about their exploits and experiences of supporting Hibs through the years. The Hibs 12th Man is about the all the fans and supporters, old and young, East, West and Famous Five, from the 1920s and 1930s through to the Hibby that was born yesterday. Go through the archives and it?s easy enough to get match reports and stats but what was it like being a supporter at these games? So that?s the gap the Hibs 12th Man want to fill ? tears of grief or relief; the elation of cup wins, the despair of cup defeats; the friendships made in the likes of Dnipro and the places you'd rather have not gone to; what was it like to be part of a 30/40/50,000 crowd at Easter Road facing the likes of Juventus, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United, Liverpool or Sporting Lisbon? Did you, did anyone, hitch-hike or have some other adventure to some far off place for the away leg? The comradeship of pre-season tours; were you, are you, an ex-pat when Hibs visited your part of the world?; the bus trips to Ross County or the likes of Greenock in the 1970s on that dank winters night; the ?ordinary? game that became extraordinary for some reason. The Hibs 12th Man is sure for every match there are a thousand stories waiting to be told and there are, hopefully, tens of thousands waiting to read your story and be in awe; be in tears or be rolling about in fits of laughter. If you have a story, or stories to tell, let?s have them. If your dad or granddad doesn?t do the internet or writing stuff go have a chat, you scribe, then let?s have it! Photos too if you?re not too shy. European adventures Cup ties League matches Pre-season tours and friendlies Supporters busses You can send them as a PM if you like but you better send them to the Hibs 12tth Man will just keep on nagging you! Thank you for your support. Hibs 12th Man |

re: Hibs 12th Man: We want your stories
Once upon a time there were three Hibs supporters ? Brian, Gods and Steve. They spend a lot of time farting about on a message board. Probably better than watching Hibs. Hibs have a state of the art training ground. Pity they haven?t won the cup for 110 years. They are good at cheating though. * * |
