I understand the argument against doing it and why a shiny new stadium makes sense. However something that crossed my mind was the shiny new stadium made sense in 2000 odd when Kingswells was on the cards. 13 years later we have left Pittodrie to lapse into a pretty shocking state and still dont have a spade mark in the ground for a shiney new stadium. I guess what im getting at is if we had redeveloped Pittodrie 13 years ago - and then taken in the extra income from corperate and possibly fans coming to a nicer stadium - we would be far better off today and still in our old home. Instead are still planning a fancy stadium (will believe it when I see it) with a capacity of over 20k while we close the top tier of the RDS to keep the 8-10,000 hardy souls together! If Loriston fails is it maybe time to look at a reasonable redevelopment of the ground again? Or will we continue to hemmorage revenue due to the state of it while we plan more imaginary stadiums? The New Stadium argument maybe a winner but that argument only works if we actually build one. 11 May 2013 11:09 Started on 'Stand Free Forum' forum
