Best wishes from a Pompey fan !!
I first went to Home Park in the days of Bickle the Milkman when serving on a Guzz ship in the mid 60s. Happy Memories of downing a couple of pints in the Avondale, then such haunts as the The Castle, London Bar, Piccadilly next door, Two Trees and Prince Regent We have had enough trouble here so I just want to wish you well in what will no doubt be a long struggle. |

Echo Lovedeans sentiments. We've been through it, we are not out of it. Its nasty. Good luck to Argyle, many happy memories of Home Park when based there. David Kemp was still banging them in. Lovely oggies as well. |

... make that three Pompey fans. Have good memeories of watching Argyle away at Rotherham in about 1971 with a mate at (Manchester) Uni who was a devout Pilgrim fan. He had no-one to go to the game with, it was a bright sunny Autumn afternoon - and he had an old banger that took us over the Pennines to Millmoor. Sadly it was a 4-3 defeat - but nevertheless a good day out.As long as you aren't made a takeoner target but gun-running Russians or dodgy, potless Arabs you will have a chance of emerging. From your friends and rivals along the coast PNW3 |

Moving in a more northerly direction, good luck from Carlisle. We too know what it's like to be in the clart, plus we still owe you one for letting Sir Jimmy bang THAT goal in in '99 to keep us both in the league and in business. If that hadn't gone in we'd likely be piddling about in non-league now. |

Best of luck, as a Pompey fan I know what you're going through and wouldn't even wish it on Southampton. Since the introduction of super-efficient business plans, trendy accountancy and surrealistic ambition, football is dying from a thousand cuts. I really fear for you though as in addition you have the Ridsdale factor to cope with, the man with the midas touch in reverse and an ego the size of a planet and a wasteland of ruined clubs and broken dreams in his wake. |

Another Pompey boy here. Home Park has some good memories for me. I remember being able to LAY on the terraces in the late 60's with an open bar behind me, supping Guinness. How things have changed. Anyway, you only have £13M to sort out so I reckon you'll manage it. If we can sort out £130M without having a pot to **** in, then £13M should be do-able. Good luck. |
