Wrath of Ninian has asked about Harris`s deficiency and here it is . He is a good tackler, competitor , aggressive , dead ball specialist obviously and can bomb forward but he is NOT A GOOD PASSER of the ball. If he cannot improve on this - then he wont go much further .
Dont want to see the wee man go but if the money is right , then he,s offski imo . On the suject of money , just how much did Queens get for McAusland ?? I dont recall Queens informing us . Have I missed it ? If not WHY the big secret ??
arrol - have no idea if there is any truth in it but heard two very well - known QOS fans on Saturday saying that Marc had some sort of clause written into his contract about an eventual return to the Buddies.
Why are Queens fans responding and biting to these idiots .Yes they are horrible cants but best ignored . Dundee United are light years above them and thats what really hurts them .They seem to get their kicks in goading followers of little Queens because they cant dig the Arabs . Best way to deal with them is to carry on as usual and silence them on the park .Thats what we normally do!
Oh dear Utd .........arf...........spent most of their miserable existance in a lower league than us ..FACT..........EAST ANGUS TEUCHTERS

Oh dear indeed, but only recent history counts, and six years in the league below while they win the Scottish Cup must get right up your goat! Tell, when was the last time you had any kind of success? You may have a bigger fan base, but currently your club is no bigger, or better than QoS, as results in the last few seasons between the two clubs will show.

Now let me think about United successes. Premier winners in 83 and cup winners in 87 , 94 and this year . Dundees turn now . Sorry , my memory might not be what it used to be as I am over forty now but cannot think of any . Was this success before or after the 2nd World War or nearer the Boer War ?
Guilty of responding Naeneck but not biting . Just trying to make a point to a delusioned individual who needs a bit of a reality check .---------------Am I the only ****** on this site that gets called by either my name or nickname
Bit of respect please! Dundee are current Challenge Cup holders as well as being favourites to win it this year again. In fact the bookies have already installed them as favourites for next year as well !!!
Dee pull plug on Harris deal
Dundee today pulled the plug on their attempt to sign Queen of the South defender Bob Harris (writes Sean Hamilton).
While it had initially been reported the Dumfries club had rejected a formal £30,000 plus one of four players bid, it is now understood the deal actually never got beyond the discussion stage following Queens boss Kenny Brannigan’s public outburst on Saturday.
For full version of this story, get tonight’s Evening Telegraph.
I'm never a great fan of travelling to Dundee, paying a fortune to get in, getting comprehensively searched by the less than friendly local constabulary on the way in and watching a steady stream of Queens fans evicted by over-zealous stewards for having the temerity to stand up and celebrate when we score (or for commiting other negligible "offences"), but I'm looking forward to Saturday immensely. I have the feeling this match could be rather "tasty" to say the least!
As Eugene says, this game could be very interesting due to the many different sub plots of former manager/coach, ex players, transfer battles and previous niggle between the teams.
Which I think makes it all the more sad that such an appealing fixture is still not enough to encourage a large majority of fans to travel to Dens. We've all heard the stories so there's no point in me repeating them. They sometimes a bit one sided in my opinion but it can't be denied how heavy handed the stewarding is.
I've never deliberately avoided going to Dundee, however I wouldn't rearrange any plans especially to make the games there. Saying that, the amount of hype in recent weeks has tempted me into making the trip down from Inverness before rushing back for night shift.
I wouldn't have minded the harris saga rumbling on till saturday as I believe he is the type of character that would have put in a big performance to prove a point to both clubs. I'm still sure he'll give his all but I don't think it would have hurt our chances if it hadn't been reported they'd given up their chase.
Heart 2-2
Head 3-1 to Dundee, we're just too thinly spread with injuries at the moment.

I have heard that the deal to bring Bob Harris to Dens Park is far from dead .
quote from the Chairman in todays programme reguarding Bob Harris " I'd like to think that it has now been put to rest but in football it's the case of ' never say never again ' "

That was the worse game i have ever seen Harris playing. His corners where poor could not pass the ball at the end he did not want to take any free kick.

As much as we are likely to be ripped for slating him, I totally agree. By far the worse performance I have witnessed from him. He was playing a left back role in the first half, which you can't do with 3 at the back. Either bad management or poor play on that front, I can't decide

Cant beleive how poor Bob was today, his worst preformance in a Queens shirt for a very long time....in the second half especially.
Our best player again was Reid and its a shame he will be missing next week.
Bob will be away by the end of the Month, he is obviously unsettled and his future needs to be clarified and sorted out sooner rather than later.

Wouldn`t be surprised to see St Johnstone in the market for a left back. Their first choice Danny Grainger apparently picked up a nasty injury yesterday.
