Stopped listening to 6 when it came on. If you take out the one album remixed by Wetherall, the vast majority of their stuff is incredibly bland rubbish. You ever interacted with the 6 Music DJ's? I've had a namecheck from Keaveney, Radcliffe and Lamacq now. The Keaveney one was quality as I inadvertently created a comedy opportunity for him by sticking down the wrong title of an earworm. The kids found an old Billy Ocean CD (Missus's obviously) and were murdering a famous song of his. Of course, it is not called "Get out of my car" as I tweeted to Keaveney. He milked it nicely. |

Blimey, that's quite a cool gig for the Grand. My memories of that place are not the coolest. A poor man's Tiger Tiger!! They've got some half decent gigs lined up, my missus wants to go to the George Clinton one. The venue reminds me of a smaller version of Koko in Camden and the main attraction is its really easy to get to and i really like The Falcon pub across the road |

As cool as some of those nights are at the Grand I will always remember it for being one of the cheesiest nightclubs London has to offer.The Falcon is a top boozer though. I don't mind admitting I spent a couple of hours in there on my Stag do on the way back from Kempton races to Central London. In the absence of any new good music at the mo...This turned up on my ipod yesterday. 80 seconds of Black Francis genius. |
