I've been having this debate with my brother tonight who is of the opposite opinion to me. I do not believe he should be allowed to play professional football again for very simple reasons. A footballer is a role-model to thousands and thousands of kids around the country. With this, comes a responsibility to set a good example. Is it acceptable that a man who has committed these crimes, whether he intended to or not, should be allowed to go back into a position in which people will look up to him? A teacher, is also a role model and should they commit a crime, whether as serious as McCormicks or not, they are relived from their work duties. Is it fair that a teacher is not allowed to return to their profession whilst a man, worshipped by thousands, who has his poster on kids bedroom walls is allowed to return to professional football? This argument could also extend to convicted criminals like Barton who are still playing the game. Put it this way, I would not want my son, an aspiring goalkeeper and mad Argyle fan looking up to Luke McCormick and want to be in his position. What's everyone's views? 04 May 2013 03:00 Started on 'Hammers Chat' forum "I can't believe QPR have just been relegated and Boswinga was walking down the tunnel laughing. Embarrassing. Show some guts man." "The League table doesn't lie. Both sides haven't won enough games to deserve to stay up. Reading in a better position than QPR though." "Gutted for the club. To many *****rs amongst the playing staff. All brought in by Hughes." "Some good lads but not enough. Too many maggots." "Hope they can get a load out, if not they'll end up in a Wolves situation because trust me that Championship is a f**king hard league!" What a total bellend this guy is! 28 April 2013 19:56 Started on 'Hammers Chat' forum
