Dean Windass- manic depressant
Heard him tell his story to Keyes and Graya great interview and hats off to the guy for telling it as it for footballers with too much time on their hand is and hoping his story will help others who might be feeling the same way but are to embarrassed or ashamed to talk about it. |

Saw him in The Grill pub in Aberdeen a couple of years ago pulling out a wad of dough which looked like it amounted to a few thousand. This was his stake he was away to put on England that night. Probably one of the last characters of the game to play for Aberdeen. |

I think he was banned for six games or something ridiculous like that when he got his 3 reds; one for the foul, one for kicking over the corner flag and one for dissent, I think they were. |

re: Dean Windass- manic depressant
It doesnt surprise me one bit that the likes of Windass , Gascoigne and Lennon suffered from depression once they retired. The three of them had to be the centre of attention at all times , some call them characters , i'll call them attention seeking ****s Once there's no longer a queue of stupid folk wanting to tell them how great they are or thinking they are amazing for allowing them to buy them in a drink what's left ? Fair play to Treacleteeth , he knows its true and has at least got off his erse and worked to earn and prolong the stupid people's adulation while the other two got p1shed and whinged about how bad their lot was. PS Windass was a good striker ! |

27/1/10 I mind watching a Hearts v Hull pre season friendly a couple of years ago, Windass was jeered and boo'd by the Jumbos. Looks like he still gets to them. |

27/1/10 More slavering pysh from the AyrshireJakey. In the time Deano was at Aberdeen there were 12 games. 4 wins apiece and 4 draws. 18 Aberdeen goals to 19 goals for the Diets. 3/5/86 & 10/5/86 |

re: Dean Windass- manic depressant
Wind@ss did it twice in the same season. 2nd game of 1997/8 he was all full of it before Hearts v Aberdeen at Tynecastle.Hearts 4-1 Aberdeen. Thne November that season he did the same routine all over again. This time setting the record straight, they ain't got nothing, blah blah. Aberdeen 1 - 4 Hearts. We came within a few points of winning the league and won the cup. Aberdeen didnae. The guy made himself a joke figure to Hearts fans. He never did anything that would "get to" us. He opened his mouth a bit too much and was made to look stupid. Shame about him being not well, mind you. |

re: Dean Windass- manic depressant
I liked Deano when he was up here, he stayed just across the road from a mate of mine and would go down the pub with the lads, came across pretty sound. The 3 red card game I was there and I think Hannah came in to do him, however Deano was an ex bricklayer built pretty well and he nailed him, quite rightly sent off, however the jutes surrounded the ref greetin and he told them and the ref to do one, cue another red card, once he got to the tunnel he grabbed the corner flag and thru it, cue the final red card. If memory serves me correct it was Aitken's last game in charge and also the goalie walker who conceded 5. Sad to hear how he is suffering, however he did an after dinner set last W/E up here and did very well, so here's hoping he is on the road to recovery. |

That will probably explain why the donkey Windass was well built |

What are you actually on about ? I know 2 brickies, end of, one wanted to buy a pub(s) many years ago and has done quite well in that trade, so well that he can afford to pick and choose some brickieing work to keep his hand in as he is past retirement his other spare time is spent on beats on the Dee and Don, and I can assure you that is expensive, the other brickie gets paid very well for his jobbing work and only works 4 hours a day and sometimes a Sunday morning, however, they are both man mountains. Dinna look too deep into things loon . Back on topic and away from bricks and mortar |

If memory serves me correct it was Aitken's last game in charge and also the goalie walker who conceded 5. Sad to hear how he is suffering, however he did an after dinner set last W/E up here and did very well, so here's hoping he is on the road to recovery. Did he have an interpreter? I can't make out a word the fat balloon says. He's like Danny McGrain on speed. |
