Deid - Tannadice 1977 connection edition.
Doris Day, aged 97. Perennially regarded as quine next door virgin (does not apply in Huntly: "If she's nae good for her faither and brithers, she's nae good enough for you").
Her Que Sera Sera was mis-appropriated by fitba fans in the mid-70s, most notably on Strachan's debut at Tannadice in 77-78, when a short Narey passback (the final one of around 75) was intercepted by Ian Fleming, who waltzed roon McAlpine and stuck it in to the the Allotment End net in front of about 4000 of us. Cue deliriium and the singing of Que Sera Sera all the way back through the slums and oubliettes of the Schitty of Discovery, the new home of the Venereal and Anal, to board the fitba special with hoorin big cairry-oots.
As mentioned on anither thread, Strachan's arrival meant Jim Shirra's transfer to Dens, so the "Jim Shirr-ah, Shirr-ah" heavy dub remix by Dennis Bovell was discontinued on that very day, which is also the deceased's surname.
What will be, will be Ms Day. You've all done very well.
