"Dads Army"
Looking at the playing squads of the rest of the Premier league teams it is very apparent that we are the "Dads Army" of the league with some of the oldest players McManus,Hammell,Lasley,McDonald,Pearson and.Clarkson to a few.We don't have one young player that excites the fans when he is on the ball.
If things don't change results wise soon then I'm afraid it will be that well used line from the tv programme "WE'RE DOOMED"

re: "Dads Army"
I would say that Dom Thomas is an exciting young player on the ball although he has a lot to learn.

re:
The only part I get is our youths are not the best but we all knew that on the old age part its hardly an issue at all it be saying something like if Pirlo who is 35 would sign for us tomorrow he wouldn't add anything to our team cause he is old.
A good manager gets best out of any player, any age, so that's what we need more than anything.

re:
The guys you mention are 33, 33, 35, 32 and 29. Four players out a squadcof 25 are over thirty. Its not Dads army thats the issue its thinking guys like Bob McHugh, Stuart Carswell , Jack Leitch are worth the 6 seasons it takes us to work out they are not Top Division material. I and others were saying they guys didnt have what it takes at the end of their second season and we dont get paid to see it. Add that to the fact the young guys we have signed in the main are utter cack the problem lies in our youth set up and general eye for a player. Since George Adams left us we see fpuck all of any note coming through.
