does anybody know how much has been spent by the club since he took over in total.
We must have spent X amount and received X amount in sales.
I'm just curious to see what the difference is. Many sides spend big big money lately, we wont though

Well using this site - http://www.transferleague.co.uk/newc...ited-transfers - don't know how reliable it is.
The very rough figures are.
Players bought - £297.4 million
Players sold - £287.5 million.
Meaning a net spend of - £9.9 million.
Jesus less than £1 million total per season.
That´s frightening - it´s like buying only Joselu and noone else in 5 seasons.
Stated in the press recently. The WORLD'S 17th richest club.
WHERE HAS ALL THE MONEY GONE????????????
Newcastle are now a profit-making club - they made £18.7million after tax in the most-recent financial year - and have been for a while now; Ashley may still be owed a £129million interest-free loan back from the Magpies, but he is no longer putting money into it to keep it afloat like he once did when they were in the Championship.
Those five players were recruited using the club’s own money, not Ashley’s.
That in itself is not necessarily a terrible thing - the Magpies had £34million sitting in the bank at the end of the last financial year and, with the upcoming bumper £5.14billion television deal, they will only become even wealthier.
But it doesn't tell the whole story. Ashley's recent splurge follows years of penny-pinching and net profits for the world's 17th richest club. Between 2009 and 2014, Newcastle had the Premier League's lowest net spend - bringing in a staggering £45 million more than what was spent on players. This period featured high-profile sales such as Andy Carroll for £35 million and Yohan Cabaye for £19 million. Meanwhile, Newcastle only bought one player during the summers of 2012 and 2013 - Vurnon Anita. The loan of Loic Remy was their sole business in the latter.
The club is in a far worse state than when he bought it. He has transferred the debt from the Banks to himself and increased it through gross mismanagement.
The debt is still there however and reflects the high sale price of the club.
The playing staff are worth a fraction of other premier league clubs due to his lack of investment..
It has been widely publicised by the media and Rafa that investment is needed to stay in this league... he doesn’t give a ****
If we get relegated we won’t have anyone like sissoko or wynaldum to sell to bring in needed cash.
My guess is Ashley is trying to limp on until the end of the season and hopefully avoid relegation
Then pocket the £100 m tv money
And sell the club for £250/£350 m.
If we go down and he sells us for £200m + £100m tv money
That is the same as what Staveley is offering him now for the club..
It’s a win win for him
He has gave us 10 years of misery and had 10 years of advertising for only £10 m
And if he can sell us at a good rate he will make money whether we stay up or go down
Total w@nker
If we go down I think the deal will be off.
Agreed Zip.
We go down and the deal will be off fast than you can say "****ing arsehole, sell the club and leave the building - dickhead."
