The best use of £3.60 of my taxes that I have witnessed, in fact, it was probably slightly less than that because of the reduced number of aircraft used in the flypast.
Seeing the armed forces supporting an occasion like this, both as security and performing ceremonial duties brought back great memories of being involved in State Occasions for many years.
It certainly makes a change from seeing the Armed Forces deployed to cover for striking workers which also costs the taxpayer a lot of money because they are often deployed all over the country and just get on with whatever they are tasked to do.
Anyway BT, there is more to come with the mega concert tonight which is also being beamed all over the world for those who are interested, as was the case yesterday. The broadcasting rights for these couple of days will amount to more than what the whole show has cost the British taxpayer, I wonder who will pocket that money, it certainly won't be the main performers.
A magnificent spectacle, enjoyed by millions, what a sad and sorry state this country will be in if the malcontents ever get their way and these sort of days are consigned to history. But I suspect we are a long way off that day yet.
You will never understand, BT, because you have never served and experienced the respect for our Armed Forces throughout a lot of countries.
I also forgot to mention the splendid programme of British music that was played in the Abbey, both old and new compositions playing their part in a wonderful spectacle.
I was more concerned to here the tune the Metropolitan Police were playing Supersub6. Arresting and detaining whoever they considered to be potential anti-monarchy protesters without trial or justifiable reason.

TIf you have come to regard the boorish behaviour of the Scousers on this occasion as the yardstick or benchmark for anything you are probably a hopeless case BT. We should continue to respect those who died at Hillsborough and rightly so but I have little regard for their self indulgence in other matters.
