Just seen this and I'll get this week up shortly. I was a bit busy yesterday.
It's a long way to the finish line , I wish my opponent all the very best in his endeavour to wrestle the title away from me . I await his seasonal complaints and whinging as he tries to hide the fact that he has been very poor in the last year or so , even by his own low standards .
You see, what happens is, if few folk get scores right, it's a low-scoring week. That's exactly what happened here; only myself and Chalky managed it and we got top scores of 7 and 6, moving both of us up a spot. I'll draw a veil over the rest of the scores, though some strange results conspired against all of us. The Cambridge v Morecambe 0-0 encounter foxed all of us apart from Alf who must have parked his van up in the University grounds for a while to spot that one coming. The fixtures at Sheffield United and Northampton contributed 20 points towards our totals. perhaps indicating that some form is starting to show and that we might improve as the weeks go by. Yeah, right.
Check points and scores as usual please.

Ohhhhh yeahhhh, its going exactly the way that I planned it
Thank you Griff
Piglet, sorry, the answer was of course the Ponte Vecchio. Schoolboy error.
Chalky. "Exactly as planned" this week involved dropping two places. I'd LOVE to see your strategy document.
Anyway, this week's sermon is on the word "average". The average score this week was exactly 7 which, coincidentally, I achieved. Being average is actually quite good for this competition because a couple of lucky weeks can lift you right up the table. It's correct scores that make the difference so tacticians may want to review which games they choose as score picks, and which they go for as results.
Top scorers this week were Pete and Deezel who each got 2 scores correct. See what I mean? Deezel rises from 13th to 8th; Pete from 4th to the top spot. Mullen's getting the hang of it, but is still on the bottom. AussieBranch's 3 sees him plummet to 13th. LufbraBlue must be on the holiday of a lifetime having missed two weeks now. Maybe Mullen has him locked in a basement.
Check everything as usual.
