He always gave his all but he wasn't particularly good, he seemed to say that himself when he played at Accrington and pretty much refused encouragement from fans near him after he'd just shanked a ball out of play. It's a cut throat world, if you ever saw his name in the team ahead of Jones you'd be less confident but like I said, always gave you 100%.

Dan Jones is a better player, especially in the creative sense, but Carl Dickinson was a highly capable deputy. I suspect his wages were a bit high for someone playing a specialist cover position, and that Nolo will look for a younger back-up. Or indeed he may be planning a change of playing style requiring more wing-back types. Dicko was strictly a defender.
Would be a good signing for another League two club though. You only have to read his parting Tweet to conclude he's the really professional type.
