Like is said, I was in the minority. From where I was sat it looked like he just tried to avoid being hit. Always happy to say I saw it wrong.
It’s been a long day. O:)

It was a harsh penalty but the new laws now mean the only chance you’ve got is by having your arms removed pre match. Furlong didn’t have a great day but still carved out another goal from one of his throw ins. I really like the guy. Love his attitude and he obviously fits what Corberan wants. An important block from him late on but yes he made mistakes too. Southampton and Leeds have been shipping goals for fun. I wonder what flack their fans are giving them? I expect it now from fans, it is what it is. Nothing but perfection expected despite no one being perfect. 3 points and a game we largely dominated. If we had Pulis the defence would be Rock solid but the football didn’t inspire any of us. I’m glad of what we have now despite the mistakes.
To be honest, we’ve had a decent start and better than what I expected. Having said this, I am still concerned about our defending. It’s not just individually but as a unit. We do need to delve into the market next week as this problem is not going away.
What would we give for Statham, Batson, Wile and Robertson.
Big difference though Mick - the very minority moan about anything - even at Messi. At the matches though especially away the majority will comment on our defence being poor and say Furlong and Townsend are very poor players!
The majority are not usually wrong! Furlong is a very weak link and poor yesterday again!
