Plenty of blades make reasonable comments, thing is with any club's forum, 10 people make a decent and balanced post, 1 cu*t makes a stupid post, then the opposing club forum focuses on the 1 c*nt's post and labels the other 9 decent posters with the same brush as the c*nt.
Expertly put & so true, next thing you know a whole fan base has a handle it doesn't really deserve.
It's a similar thing to there being 'no Man Utd supporters in Manchester', yeah, they a massive following from outside Greater Manchester, somehow, according to some, that means they have none close to home.
Tyler's comments on footymad over time have been amongst the worse I've ever read yet some that know him say he's not like that, maybe he's not but there's something in him that makes him type things he shouldn't.
As for us maybe going up I can't see how it would ruin their season, it'll disappoint a few that's for sure but only the most obsessed & deluded would let our promotion ruin what they've achieved this year.
I can't imagine any Blade wanting us to go up or win anything ever, they've had a good season, they're finally out of the pub league & in good style, I try to think about it the other way round...I wouldn't want them to go up but I can't imagine it would ruin a perfectly good season for my own club....it'd maybe cast a slight shadow or mean the icing on the cake might not taste as good as it could have.
More than in style to be fair, record breaking in terms of Sheffield clubs and local clubs. It's going to be intriguing to see how it goes for them next season. If we do fail in the playoffs, it will be entertaining to go head-to-head with them next season. Especially as we should have the better team on paper.
On paper usually means Jack where derbies are concerned, any team can win them & it's usually the one that turns up for it the most...Wilder will have United up for any derby that comes along, as long we are up for it just as much & barring luck, we might just edge it.
I think you're underplaying the difference between the 2 sets of supporters.
The level of bitterness and sometimes hatred goes up a few notches when you're the bottom side in Sheffield. I've been to loads of derbies over the years but the one that stands out for me was the 1-0 Watson one a few years ago. I was in the SOUTH stand and surrounded with (let's say) the older gentlemen and I had never felt that level of hatred before.
the first things the porkers (fans , players and owner) thought as soon as they crossed the line was WEDNESDAY!
Sorry mate , you are the voice of reason but I think you're wrong on this one. Watch how they celebrate if we don't go up!
