First off we were utterly woeful and got worse despite the goal in the 77th minute, we barely created anything, my recollection is that we immediately allowed Arbroath (yes Arbroath) the initiative again in which the got a second penalty to equalise
Maybe in a fantasy world that can happen, not in reality under the current manager, instead of letting him muck things up even more by making signings (when he has failed to even create a CB pairing... Edge ffs still playing, he's had all summer)
I'd sack him and let the new guy make a couple signings, actually, a decent manager is key
Neilson with Houston assistant would be nice
Maybe Tommy Wright with Robson as assistant
Something solid like that
Dreaming of course but what a lift that kind of appointments would give the club
Fitness over ability in this league gets results as Livi proved last season, we've got neither.
Don't think we should expect Barton to look overly "fit". His physique and style of play is much more languid and he will not be much of a sprinter. Agree we need to be sharper in passing, tackling and thought but not convinced fitness is truly an issue. Naive tactics and a poor performance with those tactics did for us.
At least Saturday is on the horizon to give a shot at redemption. Still reasons to be hopeful.....hopefully
TBF Edge has never based his game around pace
QoS has a plastic pitch.
That will be the teams' excuse next time for sure.
Then our season will properly get started.
Well after the Patrick game cos they are a tough old team to beat.
We are not going to count St Johnstone u21s are we?
So don't worry Shabby will get our season kicked off around the end of the month.
No one can complain about that then Terry?
