For the uk public, a lot of it depends on how cute the animal is. Most people will be rightly outraged at seal clubbing, fox hunting, badger baiting etc. That concern doesn’t usually extend to pigs, cows & sheep. We like to think they’re treated well on uk farms but there’s plenty of evidence to suggest that’s miles away from reality.
Go veggie! If nothing else, it’s great fun being a pontificating @rsehole about it on here :)
I'd imagine Seal, Badgers and Foxes taste rank. Cute wee deers on the other hand...especially when in a pie with rabbits.
Good een. Hand made spicy venison burgers it is for me. Before I head up your way min. Gonna take on Caley v Crusaders
I reckon within 50 years killing animals for food will pretty much have ended in the more advanced nations
Depends on what society looks like (I would say the odds of a socialistic utopia are slim) but it may simply be the case that meat becomes prohibitively expensive. Fake meat (as in fake meat that is fundamentally meat on its organic structure but isn’t sourced from a living animal) is surely not too far off. Real meat will probably become a delicacy for the upper classes.
I'll give it 4yrs...
