Makes a big difference to me, millavanilla, since a big chunk of my pension is paid in pounds and I live in the US where the majority of my costs are, of course, in US dollars. So, Brexit created about a 20% real reduction in spendable income for me.

However, I fully accept that this is a self-inflicted wound. Nobody told me to go and live in the States...!

What did the pound fall to in 2008/09 when the recession started? Did it recover? Economic uncertainty and low interest rates have caused the pound to fall. It will recover.
