Ground doesn't sound like a great new breed of supporters
I support him because I think he's done a decent job. He could've done loads better but then again, loads worse.
I think he's got the club ticking along with a fairly strong set up, throughout, in terms of club running.
The football could be much much more entertaining and I'd love to see that as an end product to Bruce's build.
As it stands I back Ashley because I do not see a lot wrong when you consider what he took on and the mishaps that happened along the way in his tenure.
He's no angel but no devil, either.
I know what's out there in terms of spare owners and there's not many, if any that could do much better with this club in terms of stability.
A new owner may try to pacify the fans with some trophy signings but if they go wrong the club needs to have massive contingency plans in place.
Would any owner bail the club out? I doubt it.
Years ago, yes. Now.....NO.
So the situation with me is plain and simple. I back Ashley as anyone knows, I make no apologies for doing so.
BUT.......
I don't live on the thought of him. I live on the thought of Newcastle United football club. But I will argue in his favour against anyone who uses hatred to argue against him.
