They found an image of a stone henge type building. Could be just a coincidence though and just a random group of stones. The true history of the human race fasinates me and would love to know the answers.

Oz - think scientists believe it's been billions of years rather than millions of years since water flowed on Mars. Personally I don't think they'll be any fossils of complex life forms comparable to mammals, lizards etc but it would be amazing if there is.
It is expected that the first person to step foot on Mars has already been born which id assume means it'll happen in the next 30 years at the latest.
I seen that bongo, looks pretty interesting. There was that pic of a mountain on Mars taken by a probe in the 60s or 70s that looked like a man made face, but was just down to how the shadows made it look so I'm not getting too excited about the "henge" just yet. Like I said in my previous post, I don't think they'll be any evidence of intelligent life found on Mars.
I agree about the face on mars and the stone henge thing could also just shadows ect. The thing is would they tell us if there was intelligent life? I think the water still flows on mars when the summer kicks in. Ok not like the ocean it had millions of years ago but i cant see there not being some sort of mammal existing at some point and evolved over time. For example if earth went the same way as mars there would still be things that survived, even if its just a *********roach or something.
The likelihood of finding intelligent life anywhere else in our solar system is slim to zero. Why would proof of extraterrestrial life found on Mars be kept from us?
If Earth lost its magnetic field and most of its atmosphere like Mars then I doubt anything would survive. No atmosphere means no rain and freezing temps which means no food, but perhaps most importantly no oxygen! There's also the lethal radiation to contend with for anything that doesn't need oxygen.
If scientists are correct and Mars has been "dead" for 3 billion years then that doesn't leave a lot of time for real complex creatures to evolve, especially land based ones.
