I can think of two possible reasons for this; our open style requires an incredible level of fitness from players who are up and down the pitch. It's difficult to maintain this intensity for 95 minutes and tactical substitutions by the opposition perhaps exploit that. The second reason is DS's substitutions are sometimes questionable and again the opposition will capitalise.
Perhaps a 3rd reason is tactically we have sat too deep against pressing teams like Arsenal when at 2-1 we should have got at them higher up the pitch.
Conentration and im afraid reluctance by the Manager to change things to a more defensive formation. Basically he does not know how to shut up shop. Fergy and wenger were brilliant at it.
I don't know. I've been trying to cone up with something worth posting but I couldn't.
It's a mentality issue, we play deeper as the match goes on. Fitness may well come into it, and as WCV says, DS's substitutions aren't great.
