I never really thought that we were going to get beaten. I don't think Chris Long would enjoy his fish supper tonight, but the others knuckled down and, biased though I am, I thought that we always looked a better team than Accies. Tony Watt is looking like a worthwhile signing - if we can get him into decent scoring situations a bit more often, he'll put some of them away. On the slight debit side, we didn't always move the ball as quickly as we should have, particularly when we had players in space screaming for it. But overall a competent show in an away match, a clean sheet and back up to third, so it's a worthwhile point.
PS - when do the Accies put the pies in the oven? The crust on mine was rock-hard.
I hope Long puts a decent fine into the pot for the next players' night out.
Point with 10 - good
Point on other results - decent
Performance - who knows? And that's a blow. But I'd stick with the system on Tuesday, I think.
They usually keep the pies from the previous home game they haven’t sold and feed them to “WELL” fans the next game
I really can't fault Grimshaw's effort, commitment, heart on sleeve tenacity and total 'never say die' desire to do all that's best for his team. But, on the other hand, it does my nut every time he picks the ball up on the RHS, then does yon Forrest Gump run horizontally from right wing to middle of the park. Unsure how he sorts that out ... if he does, he's first name on my team-sheet every week.

[QUOTE=dazlhigh;39440431]Unless we acquire players or change tactics, what gives you impression Watt will be given forwards balls to capitalise ?
We rarely cross a ball and have only Polworth capable of splitting a defence with a pass.
I think too much credit been given Watt who has yet to score and past goal scoring record nothing great. Why any different at M'well ?
Had he hit ground running with a goal or two, perhaps more positive post
We desperately need alternative for Long, whose attitude during 90 minutes questionable. Witnessed sending off on Sportscene and appeared to care not a jot when red carded .... simply walked off. No sign of an injustice.
