Last season Carson was POTS and again this season, certainly between Sheffield United away in August and the other night against Leeds he’s looked virtually faultless.
Suddenly a few errors have crept in and our much admired defence suddenly seems to be conceding...seven in the last three?
Carson has saved us many, many times thîs season so I’m not having a go, but it is unusual for a team to be genuinely ‘successful’ when their goalkeeper is regularly the best player.
Maybe more important to look at the repeated lack of protection from midfield which hasn’t been addressed and, much as I value him, I do wish Rowett would stop going all negative in the last twenty minutes when, as it sounded again today, we’re much stronger when we ‘go’ for teams than sit back and try and hang on.

ramAnag your right about Carson its never good when your goalie is MoM although he wasn't at fault today I kept saying we were lucky match after match but people were on here saying it doesn't matter a win is a win Of course we've had good wins when we've played well but also got points we didn't deserve Your right about the lack of midfield helping the defence Ledley did not touch the ball today till the 15th minute Once again today we had a team on the rack and never capitalized If we had brought on Anya when Palmer ran out of steam push Lawrence into No10 we would have won that match comfortably Reading were finished at that point just Mop

Don’t know why Rowett keeps selecting Olsson in the squad, he makes too many mistakes and is a complete lightweight and is scared at closing players down and going in for a tackle against fast paced attacking opposition.
Bring back Anya to the fold and Wisdom as the fullbacks, we had one of the best in the Championship with a good clean sheet record, now we have lost that and leaking in goals left right and center and singing Carson for England, how the mighty ship has fallen in a short space of time same old same old.
-
Ok we all know its you DDD, only you could write 'the mighty ship has fallen'
-
'Same old same old'.
Now why does this post and poster remind me of someone?
-
Fulham picking up a 2-0 win over Wolves today and they are now one point behind us, the pressure is on us once again for our promotion hopes are beginning to fonder and this team is beginning to show a lack of concentration, when it comes down to the crucial moments to cross the line and get over hurdles when it comes to the peak of the season.
Gaps are starting to creep in and weaknesses are starting to show and Rowett needs to get this teams mentality right, otherwise we will find ourselves out of the play-offs spots if we aren’t on our game.
-
Since when was writing a phrase of ‘the mighty ship has fallen’ got to do with derby’s performances, as well as something to do with a certain poster.
Get on topic please.
-
What the hell is 'fonder', yep as i thought, strakius and ramsmanifique are one and both are DDD
-
No penetration in the final thirds, leaking goals, waiting for something to happen for us in games and often sit back and defend a 1-0 lead only for us to lack complacency and let the opposition get back into the game and turn the game around and it cost us valid points.
Same old occurrences leading to our demise every season end will Derby ever learn?
-
Ah the old 'lacking complacency' line, wonder who trotted that one out once
