Many Happy Returns....
Jack's birthday isn't until next Wednesday 28th March.
No doubt but it keeps me on my toes. Jack wouldn't have been happy after those three goals he lost today. I really think Queens have a problem on the free kick set-ups. I reckon he isn't set correctly when attempting to cover his side of the goals, standing too centrally.
Three free - kick goals in 7 days will not have helped the boy's confidence at all - thought Martin with all his experience was supposed
to be the goalkeeping coach ?
Exactly what I thought. A keeper should be covering the side of goal not covered by wall but Jack decides to stand in the centre of goal. The nearside player on the wall should be lined-up with that side's post and the keeper covers the other side of goal. I completed a GK Level 2 course back in 2007-08 and I was coached by former Blackburn and Southampton keeper Terry Gennoe, who coached at Blackburn, Newcastle, Celtic and Aston Villa.
