Good book that pacmin.
I got though a few on holiday.
I mentioned 'Citadel' before and I did finish the Falklands one. Both good reads despite the latter being written by a plastic paddy.
Then bought this,

Gives a good account of what is involved in hunting down potential terrorists in this country. Turns out these guys were called out to the attacks in Glasgow (the ones where Smeaton saved the day). Driving all the way from London on blue lights. The books ok but a bit of a damp squib, a bit like said Glasgow attacks.
Got through most of this on holiday and just finished it now. Really enjoyed it.

All about the plan to deceive the Germans before the Normandy landings. A great read full of some colourful characters. Amazing the amount of effort that went on behind the scenes during operations such such as this.
Aye its started off well. 100 pages in.
Ill have to get that Operation Fortitude. Sounds right up my street
Started this yesterday and have hardly put it down since.

Written by a detective who was in charge of finding the missing Sian O'Callaghan in 2011. Fascinating story that leads to questions over the murders of lots of young women. One seriously sick f*cker is in jail but seems like he could be responsible for a lot more.
Googled the case to see if any thing else had come up and came across this page which gives an insight in to the whole story.

Worth a look if you've got a spare minute or two.

Half way through. A good read.
What a shambles of a club back then
Cathi Unsworth's Without The Moon. Hooker murders in London 1941-42. The boy's on the case though. He'll sort it oot.
I recommend her as one of those 'noir' writers.
Reading Johnny Marrs ‘Set the Boy Free’
The Motley Crue have ruined all music biographies for me. Theirs is better
Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind by Yuval Noah Harari.
Very interesting read. Though would be pretty uncomfortable if you're religious.
You could just shout FAKE! I suppose. That's the way it's done these days right?
