My thoughts exactly and I had to do a double take as to the author.

unfortunately nothing in that statement answers anything for me ,yes the board are pleading with fans to buy season tickets and all that ,but if you go back to my origional post this statement answers nothing ,when the board posted that thay pleaded to the fans which are the diehards ,who already invest in the club ,we atm and with queens current position in scottish football at a crux ,we aint getting anymore fan investment from new fans which is needed all the things i stated in my above post are the things that need addressed solutions to get new fans and stuff that is needed .just aint going to happen in our current position in scottish football .
trouble with queens statement is ,it aint going to work in that order new fans wont come back and invest in season tickets first ,queens need to take the steps forward then the fans will gradually come back needs to be in that order only way .
Massive game for the club this Saturday, Scottish Cup is our best chance of making some much needed money.
a scottish cup run could defo be extra funds in the short term ,but under current circumstances our support is just going to be the diehards as coming to see dobbie play isnt enough to attract new fans if it was we would see it already ,queens need to survey this a type of poll needs to be done in dumfries excluding current diehard fans views ,asking what it would take for the floating and new fans to come watch queens ,i think the majority of the diehard fans wont be able to accept these peoples answers tho .
i think this subject has to go far and beyond queens and fall on the sfa shoulders as ,scottish football needs to take on a new model ,id like to see us going down the german fa root ,thay have there price structures spot on dirt cheap to go watch all there top games ,for scotland to follow germanys lead we have to change alot of current laws like drink at grounds exc ,this is where the german clubs make a fortune through merchandising during games ,the german clubs dont prioritise gate money to fuel them .
Clubs across Germany benefit a lot from their local industry with large corporations or local business groups investing heavily in their clubs within their regions. This helps build a clear sense of identity. This is an infrastructure that lacks in scottish football.
We would need companies like McEwans, Highland Spring, Barr and Baxters to be encouraged to invest.
People can now see the potential in the club.
Davie Rae (former chairman and owner) gave the club its best days, but if the model means you have to constantly fund it yourself then you will either fall out of love with it or you will not be prepared to fund it any more. Davie financed it, gave it great days and gave it a chance for the future as well in that he wrote off his debt and allowed us fans to do a deal to restructure the club.
We have only 1,200 core fans to help us get back to the sustainable success. We can build up that fan-base. You see Kilmarnock in the Premier League, so why not Queens?
If any club can do it down in the lower leagues then Queens can because of the catchment area and the aspirate around the game in Galloway.
But ultimately, in any business, if you don’t get it into a position whereby it produces enough profits to put back into it the business will fail. Jim Thompson and his wife did an okay job whilst at Palmerston, but they were not the real thing. We need an experienced Marketing Manager with real business know how to take the club forward and ultimately back into the top Division.
