Recruitment wise yes.....

Exactly!
Luckless, why is it a 'fact' that MM has to take 'full responsibility' for what has happened?
He's only been in charge for a little over two years and he has been incredibly generous in that time. Okay, a number of appointments haven't worked out as we'd all have hoped, some of the players' contracts seem hopelessly over generous and there was this last window's deadline day debacle, but do you not think he has advisors?
Could it not be that they, along with poorly performing players, muddle headed managers and a certain Mr. Rush might be in some way culpable?
Again that one comes under poor recruitment and Mel is the one who hires them.
This is a very valid point. If Bryson and Butterfield weren't part of his plans why was a midfield engine not made priority. Against Sheff Utd and Bristol City we've been quoted as not being able to cope with the opposition's energy.
It's early days and I can't see anyone running away with it but we look some way short in midfield.
The problems with our squad are too big to fix in 1 window, and whether we have the financial clout to acquire better quality is also questionable. Get used to mid-table football.
The lack of a midfield 'engine/warrior/general' is, imo, something we have been lacking for years Manx.
I was one of many making exactly that point around the time of Clement's appointment and it is so glaringly obvious that it remains a mystery why no manager has addressed it. Well...Rowett actually did but then the 'paperwork' geeks managed to foul everything up.
Somewhat simplistic interpretation imo. For instance Rush was first employed by DCFC in 2013, a good two years before Mel Morris took over.
I have no idea at all as regards Rush's 'guilt' or innocence and consider it unwise to speculate, but I imagine he appointed many of the staff before MM took over and also had a great deal to do with the subsequent appointments of many of the players and managers. After all, as CEO - on an estimated £500,000 pa - that's what he was being paid to do.
Not suggesting that MM shouldn't accept some responsibility for some of the many mistakes that have been made since the summer of two years ago, but to heap it all at his door and blame it all on 'poor recruitment', when things were far from sorted when he took over, is just wrong.
All im saying is we have been for the most part a stale mid table champ side for 10 years.
Clubs like bournemouth, burnley, palace etc have had zero problem in getting up, and we supposedly have a bigger fan base, bigger stadium, better revenue stream, better training facilities, better youth system etc,, yet continue to be outdone by none footballing towns like f****** huddersfield and bournemouth ffs.
Hire a manager, give him full control (because its obvious rowett isnt the man pulling the strings here), let him rebuild the bloody team and let him train and coach them in peace ffs.
If wagner can get that rusty pile of crap huddersfield up, and eddie howe can get the garden shed of bournemouth up,, why cant we get up with all our "resources"?
West ham and newcastle have been down TWICE in the past 12 years and have no problems easily getting back up, newcastle esp.
Sam Rush was appointed to replace Tom Glick and it's his duty to do his job properly and unfortunately he did a poor job and got sacked by Mel and now we are left with inconsistent players and managers who have been and gone, struggling to fix the ongoing problems of previous managers gone by that other managers haven't been able to fix.
It's all down to poor recruitment ramAnag because if we had good recruitment we wouldn't have gone through all these managerial changes and have problems of having inconsistent players.
