Calderwood shocker.
In the local paper, Calderwood said that he hopes the team will be competitive in the home game with Stevenage tomorrow.
Hopes.
Calderwood communicates by what he implies, and in this case, hoping means he has no faith in this team. And he is right. No one in their right minds would watch this rabble. You cant make players care, tackle, or run themselves into the ground. Even though its a relegation game.
Even more shocking is the case of Tom Knowles who is on loan at Chelmsford. Calderwood said he was getting good reports of his form from the clubs scouts or whoever. Which is good. He is even getting good reports from people who arnt connected to the club, which is good.
Calderwood has no faith in the abilities of the clubs scouts, and doesn't trust them He doesn't trust the players. A new coach has been foisted on him by Daniels.
Cambridge are an insular clique, ready to blame anyone but themselves, lacking in self awareness of their own faults. In their minds, Calderwood is the problem, and he needs help. Enter John Taylor, with Mark Bonner, a coach from the Cambridge district league division 5a, but with 674 coaching certificates.
The Barry takeover was a dark day, and we are now seeing it for what it is, fun for the boys. When Calderwood is sacked, and this crew will get him sacked, the board will repeat the process. Over and over.
Thanks but no thanks.
