History has shown these gimmicks always seem to lead to the worst results and defeats

This no nonsense team were in cruise control of the game apart from the first fif**** minutes when Charlton played their best football but after than it was very much all Shrewsbury.

Two second half goals gave Shrewsbury the win. Alex Rodman scored for Shrewsbury on 52 minutes and Omar Beckles scored from a header on 67 minutes to seal all three points for the away side. Elsewhere the Plymouth resurgence continues and Charlton drop out of the play-offs into 7th.
