EFL - Reading FC - Put their training ground up for sale.
Reading FC - Chinese owner Dai Yongge has said he is looking to sell the clubs
training ground at Bearwood Park.
Yongge said he was " evaluating every option ", to secure funding until new
ownership was confirmed of Reading FC, saying " open to the sale of Bearwood
Park, should an appropriate offer be received ".
Yongge is after selling Reading FC, & as been contacted by " seven or eight bidders ".
Dai Yongge & his sister Dai Xiuli bought Reading FC in 2017, with the pair being one
of Northern China's wealthiest families.
The families firm Renhe Commercial Holdings was a business empire built by developing
underground air-raid shelters into shopping malls.
By building this way helped the firm legally avoid regulations & taxes, applied to retail
developments above ground, by 2016 they had 23 malls.
Dai Xiuli gifted her share of the clubs ownership to Dai Yongge, with Dai Yongge said
to have invested over £200m into the club.
Reading FC financial losses showed £146m in 5 years to June 2022.
Reading FC have issued £82m worth of shares, since the club takeover by the family.
* Dai Yongge & his sister Dai Xiuli tried to buy Hull City FC in 2017, before buying
Reading FC in May 2017.
