Charlton's campaign has faltered a bit of late with a defeat to Portsmouth spoiling the back to the Valley celebrations of December 5th 1992 when the result was the reverse.

This time Portsmouth prevailed on 46 minutes when they were awarded a free kick to start the second half, a cross from Evans looked like it came off the head of Magennis giving Amos no chance.

Charlton were unable to make their dominance in possession count and so it ended with Portsmouth winning 1 - 0.
