Any "No-Go" areas of Killie and Ayr?

Howdy Y'all!

Just like to let everyone know that I will be returning home, to live in a new flat hopefully in the Spring. It won't be going full circle back to Kilwinning, morelike Kilmarnock or Ayr and surrounding areas. This is because I am struggling to cope on my own way out over here in the Lang Toun and I'm feeling quite vulnerable, so I'm aiming to be closer to my dad and stepmum in Auchinleck. I read on another football site (can't remember which one) that Shortlees and OnThank were definitely areas for those of a mature and intelligent nature should certainly avoid.

Can anyone tell me any more or confirm about mentioned areas?
