Not for me. See you later Kenedy. Much later.
A footballing luxury we cannot afford...and a massive potential mercenary if we did buy him.
This is why I love a good season long loan signing. It sorts the wheat from the chaff in terms of ability, work rate and above all else, loyalty to the overall cause.
Kenedy has the ability in abundance. His workrate can be fantastic, periodically. His loyalty to the cause?......hmmmmmmmm.
I have been disappointed with him, especially after what he displayed last season...
But if there is mitigation and Rafa still rates him?
Nobody is in a better position than Rafa to judge him.
My initial reaction would be no thank you...
But if Rafa stays, and chooses to give Kenedy another chance, then I'm all over it....
He's been worse than Atsu...and that's saying something.
As you say, Mick...if Rafa still rates him then that's good enough for me ...although part of me wonders whether that's just Rafa looking after a kid's future by not hanging him out to dry?
Rafa obviously still likes him, despite questioning his commitment and work rate...
Whether he still rates him though is a different matter...
Time will tell.
We should of seen the signs with Atsu. Chelsea shipped him out all over the place on loan. Chelsea don't care mugs like us will buy their crap.
